GAFFE FAQs

What is GAFFE?

GAFFE is the chef-led kitchen at Leonard's Corner. Led by Dan Chambers, it serves seasonal bistro food in the relaxed setting of a proper Irish pub.

What makes GAFFE different?

GAFFE is a bistro in a pub. It's not a gastropub, a restaurant or even pub grub, really. It's thoughtful, seasonal food served in a proper neighbourhood pub. Come for dinner, a pint or both.

Where can I see the current menu?

Our latest menus are available on Instagram at @leonardscorner.

Can I just call in for a pint?

Absolutely. Leonard's Corner will always be a pub first and foremost. GAFFE operates from one part of the pub, so there's always space to call in for a pint. No booking required.

Where is GAFFE?

GAFFE is located inside Leonard's Corner in Dublin 8. There is no separate entrance.

Do I need to book?

Bookings are recommended, particularly on Friday and Saturday evenings, but walk-ins are always welcome and we'll always do our best to fit you in.

When is food served?

Thursday 5pm–9pm
Friday 5pm–9pm
Saturday 12:30pm–3pm / 5pm–9pm
Sunday 1pm–5pm

Is food available when the kitchen is closed?

Yes. Outside GAFFE's opening hours we serve a selection of toasted sandwiches, so there's always something to eat with your pint.

What kind of food do you serve?

Seasonal bistro cooking with bold flavours, quality ingredients and a menu that changes regularly.

Does the menu change?

Yes. The menu changes with the seasons and we add new specials every week. You can find our latest menus on Instagram at @leonardscorner.

Do you serve wine and cocktails?

Yes. Alongside the food we offer a carefully chosen wine list from our suppliers WineLab and new cocktail programme starting August 2026.

Can you cater for dietary requirements?

Please let us know about any dietary requirements or allergies when booking. Due to the nature of our small kitchen and focused menu, we may not be able to accommodate every request, but we'll always do our best.

Do you have vegetarian options?

Yes. We usually have vegetarian dishes on the menu.

Is the Friday pub quiz still on?

Yes. Our pub quiz takes place every Friday at 9pm. If you're joining us for dinner and would like to stay for the quiz, just mention it when booking and we'll keep you at your table.
